Summer School France
12, 13 and 14th of SEPTEMBER 2010
Enjoy a 3 day/4 night creative break of dyeing, printing and perfecting your sketchbook skills. Alternatively you might choose to work on a project with Lutradur, recycling denim or create a sheer or pieced landscape inspired by the surrounding sea and countryside.
Our house in the Vendee region on the west coast of France has its own swimming pool and a beautiful garden alive with birds. Within a few minutes we have golden beaches, a pretty harbour, busy markets and fields of sunflowers, giving you plenty of inspiration to work with in the cool spacious and light garage that is our studio.
Accommodation is in two twin rooms, one with en-suite bathroom. Breakfast, lunch, one evening meal and drinks are included. A programme consists of a minimum of 20 hours tuition, field trips of an hour or so drawing and painting on the beach or at the harbour, are a part of this.
Most of the materials and equipment (4 sewing machines on site) are also included. Extra nights can be added on a B&B basis.
Cost for a group of 4 is £1200. Airport transfers are £50. Budget airlines fly to La Rochelle or Nantes. Alternatively there is a 15% discount available with Brittany Ferries.
