Screenprint and Stitch
In this workshop we produce either a Sketchbook Cover or a wallhanging,
using plain or hand dyed fabrics in one colour scheme. We then have a go at screenprinting with thermofax screens, using these fabrics we continue to ‘compose’ and piece a wallhanging or cover for your sketchbook, which can be quilted in class or afterwards. This class is also suitable for a 2-day workshop.
Students need to bring coloured, white and black fabric, plastic table covers, an old sheet for a dropcloth, gloves and aprons, sewing machine for straight stitch only, mat, cutter and ruler. Wadding and backing fabric optional.
