Black Magic
Brilliant new experimental workshop!
Start with a black piece of cotton fabric and try printing with thermofax screens and discharge paste – iron it and see the colour disappear. Then print over it, using the same screen but this time use gold and/or silver fabric paint to create a sumptious piece of textile, which can be stitched with metallic threads and embellished with even more beads, sequences, shishas or metallic organzas. This piece can be made into a little bag, cushion, filofax cover or a case for your glasses. Kits available.
