Last week we spoke to the surgeon and a liaison nurse.
The cancer has spread from the bowel to both sides of the liver so surgery is not an option anymore, but they are going straight in with chemo hoping to zap the cancer in both locations.
Wednesday 25th I will have a liver biopsy to conclude it is definitively cancer,
we will need to wait 7 - 10 days for the result,
then I'll be discussed at the multidisciplinary team meeting on the Tuesday after that,
the plan is to see the oncologist for a chemotherapy plan.
As I'm healthy, fit and relatively young they are going to hit me hard with chemo to kill the buggers, then re-assess with a CT scan.
That's all I'm afraid, bit scary but at least no surgery, either liver or bowel would have been tough.
I'm still feeling pretty good, cropped my hair and looking skinny.
We might try and get to France between biopsy and result, I think it's the only chance we get this summer.
